so in that case “A video paints a million words“!
Video is the most attractive form of media to the human eye. People are involuntarily drawn to it, however they will usually only give it a few seconds before deciding to stay or move on. So it’s absolutely vital to create an engaging video that continues to keep the audience’s attention.
The challenge with the ‘walkthrough video’ is to clearly reveal the many qualities of a property and at the same time keeping people engaged such that they stay until the end and get a good feeling about the property and see the potential in it as a future home.
I always try to use the interaction of motion and sound to create an atmosphere that relaxes the viewer and keeps them waiting to see what’s coming next. All videos are under four minutes in duration as anything longer will cause attention to wane and viewers to potentially abandon the video and move elsewhere.
When it comes to shooting Video , it’s so easy to just point the camera and start panning about capturing as much as possible in a scene, but this is actually counterproductive and soon quite boring and disorentating to viewers. Interestingly enough, less is more when it comes to video, where camera movement and scene transitions are the key techniques exploited in the post production stage.
